Dr. Ali received a B.S. in Engineering in 1982 from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and M.S. in Engineering in 1989 from the University of Tennessee. In 1997 he received his D.D.S. from Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr. Alibakhshi completed his residency in general practice at D.C. General Hospital. Since beginning practice in 1998, Dr. Alibakhshi has pursued continued training and education to expand his skills in dentistry, including courses in advanced professional implant training, neuromuscular dentistry, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Alibakhshi is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and certified in oral Conscious Sedation. Dr. Ali Alibakhshi , or Dr. Ali as he is known by his patients, is a gentle, caring dentist who places a strong emphasis on getting to know each individual patient. Dr. Ali firmly believes that treating patients involves treating both the body and the mind; he strives to employ respect and kindness in every facet of dental care. Dr. Ali believes a great relationship between himself and his patients will set them at ease in knowing they are in good hands. Dr. Ali strives to give every patient a beautiful, healthy smile.

Dr. Raheleh Makhmalbaf 'Dr. MAK' Dr. Mak graduated in 2009 from Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University, MA with an honored degree in Doctor of Medicine (D.M.D). Dr. Mak is a very competent, well trained, and dedicated dental professional. Her assistance has made a great difference in our practice. Her professionalism, gentleness, and great communication skills have benefited many apprehensive patients who never had a good experience in the dental setting. This allows our more anxious patients to now be very excited to continue their dental treatment more than ever before. Dr. Mak strives to provide dental treatment to her patients with ease, and care. Aside from her high level of patient care, Dr. Mak continues to learn more about the latest and newest technology in dentistry. She has taken several continuing education courses for Cosmetic Dentistry, Pediatric care, and most recently completing Orthodontic courses allowing her to now be a Certified Invisalign Provider. Dr. Mak lives locally. She enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, exercising, reading, and baking.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Tien received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1999. He then enriched his interest in Biochemical Engineering Research and received a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2000, before pursuing a career in dentistry. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2005, graduating in the top third of his class. Dr. Tien completed his training in a 6-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Program at New York University Medical Center, which included Bellevue Hospital Center and the VA Manhattan Hospital. During this OMFS training, Dr. Tien received additional training in Anesthesia, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Internal Medicine and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Tien obtained his Medical Degree from the New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Tien currently practices the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His expertise includes: Complicated Exodontia and Dentoalveolar Surgery, Implant Surgery, Orthognathic Surgery, Bone Grafting, Wisdom Teeth, Oral Pathology, Treatment of Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD), Facial Trauma, Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Tien’s interests include playing basketball and lacrosse, enjoying outdoor hikes, running and watching movies.

Dr. Nadarajah truly believes in the concept of healthy gum, healthy body and healthy smiles. He offers periodontal disease diagnosis and appropriate conservative treatments for his patients. He also offers dental implants treatments and as well as treatments Peri-Implantitis (failing dental implants). Dr. Nadarajah obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 1995. In 1996, Dr. Nadarajah completed his externship-training program at London King’s College and Guys Dental Institute. Dr. Nadarajah completed his three-year residency program in Periodontics and Dental Implantology at University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. He completed his Periodontics literature review training at Department of Periodontics Dental Division at the Naval Hospital Tri-Service Medical School in Bethesda, Maryland. In 1999, Dr. Nadarajah received his Periodontology Residency Postgraduate Certificate from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore. He is looking forward to building a happy, long-term relationship with his patients and their families, as well as his medical and dental colleagues in Maryland.
